Together We Rise! Reflections on Election Results

Dear Pre-Health Dreamers Community,

The presidential election results were unfortunately not what we were hoping for. The outcome was a big blow to the undocumented community. You may be feeling angry, afraid, and confused at the moment; we feel these things too. All of your feelings are valid and we all cope in different ways. Rest if you need to. Cry if you need to. Shout if you need to. Take the time to do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself.

Though much uncertainty lies ahead, we shall overcome this. We are a resilient community and we will keep fighting. Now, more than ever, we must come together, organize, and fight for ourselves and our loved ones. We must also stand strong and united with our Black, LGBTQI, and Muslim communities, victims of sexual assault and marginalized communities. We are survivors. We will persevere!

As an organization, Pre-Health Dreamers is working to protect the progress we made in educational and healthcare access. We are working with our partners to find answers and to strategize our next steps forward. We will be sure to relay any important information for the safety of you and your family and any opportunities to be involved in advocacy efforts. We also welcome any thoughts on how to organize in the weeks or months to come.
